Physiotherapist and Practice Owner

Aylene qualified in 1997 from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. She later completed a post graduate course in Orthopedic Manipulative Therapy. Over the years, she has completed numerous physiotherapy courses to further her education and clinical skills. She has worked in private practice in South Africa, the UK and Australia. Aylene has a special interest in treating neck and back pain, and enjoys treating sports injuries.

Nicky McLellan

Nicky McLellan

Physiotherapist and Practice Owner

Nicky qualified in South Africa in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. She later completed a course in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy. She has worked in private practice in South Africa, England and Australia, and has undertaken many courses to further her knowledge and improve her clinical skills. She has a special interest in treating necks and backs, and having completed over 30 marathons, she is very passionate about running injuries!

Edwin Phamanivanh

Physiotherapist

Edwin attained his Master's degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Sydney in 2023, following the completion of a Bachelor of Science in Human Anatomy at the University of NSW in 2021. Fueled by a passion for musculoskeletal injuries, manual therapy, and exercise, he aims to inspire patients to achieve their goals, minimise pain, and enhance recovery. Outside of work, Edwin enjoys the great outdoors, actively participating in activities like kayaking, camping, and fishing.

Maxine Bassil

Receptionist

Maxine has lived in Eastgardens for the last 27 years, where she and her husband raised and educated their three children in the local area. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience communicating with clients in the IT industry, having worked as a programmer for 14 years and then as a sales consultant for 10 years. She has recently joined our Maroubra road physiotherapy practice to balance her lifestyle and social interaction with members of the community. She enjoys oil painting and singing, and keeps fit by swimming and power walking.

Carmel Duffy

Receptionist

Carmel is the newest member of the Maroubra Road Physiotherapy Team. Originally from Ireland, Carmel has lived in the Eastern Suburbs for the last 24 years with her husband and daughter. Having performed in various receptionist/administrative roles over the past 20 years she brings a wealth of experience to the role. Carmel enjoys walking her dog, gardening, hiking, and going to the movies.

Siobhan Ide

Receptionist

Siobhan has recently joined the Maroubra Road Physiotherapy Team. Siobhan was born in Ireland and moved to Sydney when she was 8 years old. She has performed a number of administrative roles over the past 25 years including a Legal Secretary, Medical Secretary, Office Assistant Manager for CBA Legal Services and Dental Assistant/Receptionist. Siobhan lives with her husband and 3 children in Matraville and is very family oriented. She enjoys socialising with friends and her family. She also enjoys walking, movies and reading. Siobhan loves to travel especially to Europe where she has many relatives and childhood friends.
